TAXES, TAXES, AND MORE TAXES!

This was sent to me from a friend. I have read it before, and I imagine you have too. We all need to read it again.........and again..........and again..............Now does the FairTax make sense?

Thanks Friend! What brought us here is the fact that there are too many of us AMERICANS who either do not care to really know what and who they are voting for; or they want a free ride on someone else's back/shoulders. I certainly hope this can challenge a few to spend some time to get to know who to vote for next VERY CRUCIAL year. Vicrichard Wahl

This is funny til it gets too close to home.
At first I thought this was funny...then I realized the awful truth of it. Be sure to read all the way to the end!

Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table
At which he's fed.

Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.

Tax his cow,!
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.

Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.

Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.

Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries,
thenTax his tears.

Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his ass

Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won't be done
Till he has no dough.

When he screams and hollers,
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till He's good and sore.

Then tax his coffin ,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in Which he's laid.

Put these words upon his tomb,
" Taxes drove me to my doom..."

When he's gone,
Do not relax,
Its time to apply
The inheritance tax.

We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids. What the hell happened? Can you spell "politicians!" And.... I still have to "press 1"for English.

Terrific Huckabee interview after the USC-Clemson football rivalry game that captures the quintessential Mike Huckabee, FairTax, and a truly sound vision of an administration that will work!

I watched that interview. Thanks for sending it to us. Huckabee sounds very sincere and down-to-earth. And he just passed up Romney and Guilani. Amazing what a grassroots movement can do.

I spent some time with a "Retire Early" forum, recently, and was amazed when their response to me, and the FairTax, was that they had "kicked it around" in the group and figured, since it would never be passed, its merits were irrelevant! LOL

(What's shocking is that there are so many wusses like this out there!!)

And did you hear McCain on the CNN YouTube debates, saying that we needed a tax system FAIRER than the FairTax?? The man sounded like he didn't know anything about it! (when before, he said he'd sign the bill if it came across his desk).

Methinks there are a lot of people out there who are so far gone, they can't even bring themselves to get into the details of HR 25, or the marvelous and extensive research that undergirds its viability.

Truly, we have our work cut out for us!

You left out a tax!

In Michigan, the school property tax on rental property is 4 times the school property tax on owner-occupied homes.

There is a "State Education Tax" of 6 mills on all property, and a "Nonhomestead Tax" (an education tax) of 18 mills on rental property, commercial property, and second homes. The total school tax on rental property is 24 mills, or 4 times the rate on owner-occupied homes.

So you forgot the Nonhomestead Tax. Most states tax rental property at higher rates than owner-occupied homes, but Michigan is at least honest enough to call it a Nonhomestead Tax.
