THE FAIR TAX IS NON-PARTISAN

The FairTax is favorable to Democrats, Republicans, Independents and Libertarians alike. It knows no boundaries. Taxes affect all of us alike and it will take all of us to fix the system. We don't take political sides when it comes to the FairTax - we take the people's side. We are fixing the tax system for us, not the politicians.

The FairTax organization (Americans for Fair Taxation) was formed in 1995 as a non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots organization solely dedicated to replacing the current tax system. It began as a research organization, finding out what the American people wanted in a tax system, the best way to collect the taxes and the most benefits to be derived for the economy and the taxpayers.

They have had extensive research done by economists, education and community leaders, and have arrived at the FairTax plan as the fairest and most beneficial plan for us and for our country. They have had a good number of "white papers" written on various aspects of the FairTax plan.

In the coming week, I will be referring to these "white papers" while going through the tax plan in more detail. I will cover the impact on Seniors, Farmers, Businesses, Realtors, etc. I will begin this coverage on Tuesday since Monday is a holiday. So have a good, long, happy holiday weekend and we'll meet again on Tuesday.

Bobby -- thanks for educating the American people on the Fair Tax Act! And, you're absolutely right that it will "take all of us to fix" the current system.

That's why OPERATION: OFF THE FENCE was created. This grassroots movement of citizens began in one state, and became a national movement in just 11 weeks, with participants in 23 states; new participants are signing up weekly.

Americans for Fair Taxation have the presidential candidates covered; OPERATION: OFF THE FENCE participants direct communications, in unison, to current elected officials, at the federal, state, and local levels.

Marsha - thank you for your comments and your encouragement. Please pass my blog on to the others in your group. We need to spread the word.

And if Operation: Off the Fence has a web site, I would appreciate the URL.

Thanks again and "Let's make April 15th just another day!"

Thank you Bobbie for pointing out that the FairTax is non-partisan. As the State Director for Mike Gravel, the only Democratic Presidential candidate running on the FairTax, I am encouraged to see more and more bloggers pointing out this truth about the FairTax.
May I ask your readers to take 58 seconds to view this video?

Then while at YouTube, take a look at some of the other videos at Gravel2008.

It's nice to know my blog is being read and appreciated. Thank you for your input and I will certainly take a look at the youtube video.

I feel that if both parties vote for a FairTax candidate in the primaries, this will bring the message through loud and clear that we will vote for the candidate who hears us and agrees with our desire to replace the income tax with the FairTax.

Thanks again, David
