THE FAIRTAX IS NEEDED NOW

The FairTax is needed NOW, to dig us out of this economic morrass. It would solve our economic problems, put Social Security and Medicare back on solid ground, bring trillions of dollars in off-shore money back to America and solve the problems of corporate America, including unemployment.

I don't want to see our country become a third world country because Congress turns up its nose at "change". "Change" to the FairTax and their will again be "Hope."

How would the FairTax put Social Security and Medicare on solid ground? I'm just curious.

By increasing the payouts by the amount of the exclusive FairTax rate.

Oh wait... That would make things worse...

"How would the FairTax put Social Security and Medicare on solid ground? I suggest you read my entire blog which explains the FairTax in Layman's terms. Or read "The FairTax book" or check out the FairTax.org website.

Taxes would actually be collected under the FairTax. There would be no more loopholes in the tax code, we would be in control of our money, not Congress and the Lobbyists would no longer have control of Congress.

The FairTax would tax everyone, even the drug dealers, prostitutes, illegal aliens and all the rest of the "under-the-table" transactions.

The FairTax will bring all the businesses home from abroad, where they were exempt from our income taxes. Other companies from abroad will want to set up business here where there will be no income or corporate taxes, just a sales tax on new goods and services.

More businesses will give us more workers. More workers will buy more new goods and services. This will put America back on stable footing and there will be plenty of money to pay for Social Security, Medicare and all of the other obligations our country has.

For the citizens, we can keep 100% of our paycheck, choose when to spend our money and pay our taxes, and even have some left over for investments, instead of the government continually raising taxes which are added to new merchandise, thereby causing us to be taxed over and over and over and over.

Get it now? Just curious.

Bobbie -- My point was that the FairTax could only "put Social Security and Medicare on solid ground" if it raised more revenue than our current tax system does.
But the FairTax is supposed to be "revenue neutral," which, by definition, would not raise any more money than our current system does. I was just wondering if I had missed something, but apparently I had not.
